Its favored quarry includes the robust mountain goats, the sure-footed ibex, and the sturdy yaks that traverse the rugged terrain, as well as the occasionally encountered, corpulent brown bear fattened on the eve of its winter slumber.

As storm clouds gather and the wind shifts, heralding the arrival of tempestuous weather, the Esker Omophagous Nimbus descends upon its unsuspecting prey, enveloped in the guise of an innocuous mist.

Once within its grasp, escape is but a fleeting hope; the cloud's insatiable, pillow-soft form engulfs the victim, its ravenous essence stripping flesh from bone with unholy fervor. The aftermath of such an encounter leaves a chilling tableau: a pair of legs, bones jutting starkly from severed joints, the remainder of the body vanished, consumed.
