Richard Armageddon of the Ring (#11119)

Owner: 0xe253…3B25

Richard, Armageddon of the ring, formerly; Richard. A low born fisherman once commisioned to hard labour in the docking yards of Allesar's keep, though commissioned generally implies payment for services, however, Richard was prisoner to the keep due to the unfortunate circumstances of finding himself captured by brigands while fishing in the salt sea, these brigands were promptly captured and sentanced to hard labour as punishment, Richard included.

It would be 10 years of hard labor before Richard was released from servitude and on that day he left Allessar's keep and swore not to return until he had taken back the life he had toiled away so unwillingly. And so, Richard vowed to become a hero of legend.

With the goal of justice in mind, Richard set out for the warrior academy in the Capital City Keikogi, this journey would take 6 months on foot, however, Richard was unaware the scale of the adventure he had embarked on and was woefully unprepared for what was ahead. With only the clothes on his back, the blue longsword left by his estranged father, a bundle of dried meats and a crude map drawn by his father, Richard was off.

Little is known of the path Richard forged on this adventure as only his diaries served as a record of his journey, many pages of which were torn from the book by Richard himself, likely due to the secrecy of the City of Keikogi which he served for a time during his training there.

The history of Richard's title is cloudy at best, but what is to known to be true is that while on a routine investigation of some ruins, Richard and a fellow warrior who's name is kept anonymous happened upon a small chest buried beneath the rubble of the ruins. Within the chest was a single gold ring with several runes etched to the inside of the band. Upon equipping the ring, Richard was overcome with a swell of visions depicting a charred and fiery landscape, completely devoid of life. From the perspective of his friend, Richard had simply collapsed onto the floor and was unresponsive, his friend did the only responsible thing and cut off Richards finger.

The ring was clearly something of great power, and no mere mortal was meant to wield it, upon returning to Keikogi and debriefing the elders of what they had found, it was determined that the ring itself belonged to a powerful unnamed wizard who had long passed, but that the power within the ring could serve as a potential catalyst for his return. Despite this, the elders sought to covet the ring and its power for themselves. Richard feared that the visions he saw were the consequence of the elders decisions, but Richard, a man who's life had already been subject to the greed and hubrice of his fellow man would not simply stand by. Richard convinced his friend to accompany him on a quest to destroy the ring, lest Armageddon destroy us all, his friend agrees and together they devise a plan to steal the ring and venture to mount titan in an attempt to destroy the ring.

In the end the heroes succeeded and the ring was destroyed in the fires of mount titan. The city of Keikogi's elders made amends for their foolish attempts to use the ring and blessed our heroes with the title "Armageddon of the ring".
