The Lore of Arcanist Durm of the Bastion

When Durm the Arcanist was a young man, the barbarian hordes invaded his homeland and razed everything to the ground. He was forced to flee deep into the wilds in search of safety, where he was plagued by an ancient curse which took away his ability to connect with others. The curse, however, did not take away his ability to reason or use magic. Durm survived in the wilderness for decades by stealing what he needed from travelers that he ambushed as they passed by.
