Witch Ekmira of the Moors (#6533)

Owner: 0x8793…D8Fb

I couldn’t help but wonder, in a Runiverse full of wizards searching for love, what happens when someone isn't looking to give or receive love at all—what if they’re just looking to take it? This thought first crossed my mind after hearing about Ekmira, a witch who who I've discovered is a love vampire. Unlike the rest of us who cling to affection like it’s air, Ekmira had a much more transactional relationship with love. She fed off it.

After too many broken promises and fading flames, she’d learned something crucial: love was fleeting, but power wasn’t. She discovered her unique ability one night, sitting across from a young beau at a candlelit dinner. He gazed at her, heart open and full of devotion, and without lifting a finger, she felt his love flow into her like warm honey. The hunger she hadn’t even known she had was suddenly satisfied, and from that moment on, Ekmira knew her true calling.

While the rest of us obsess over relationships, dating apps, and romantic gestures, Ekmira thrived on the energy of others’ affections, leaving behind a trail of broken hearts and confused admirers. She didn't need long-term commitments or grand declarations; a stolen kiss or a lover’s stare would suffice. For Ekmira, love was sustenance—she fed off it, consuming the emotional energy others willingly poured out, only to disappear once they were left empty.

In some strange way, I almost envied her. While we fall apart in the aftermath of failed romances, Ekmira remained untouched, unscathed. Love, for her, was never something to be lost because it wasn’t hers to hold. But here’s the thing about being a love vampire—eventually, people catch on. Once someone realizes they've been drained, they stop giving. And I couldn’t help but wonder: could Ekmira keep stealing love forever, or would her hunger eventually leave her more starved than any of us ever could be?

Maybe love, like everything else, requires balance. You can't take forever without giving something back. Even Ekmira, with her insatiable need, would have to face this truth one day. After all, when love turns into nothing more than a transaction, what’s left? And more importantly, who’s left to share it with?
