"The Ballad of the Lone Mage"

(Verse 1) Four wizards rode, their hearts alight, To quell the beast that ruled the night. With tusks of rage and eyes of fire, A demon swine, a wrathful pyre.

They stood as one, their staffs held high, Beneath the burning, blood-red sky. Three hearts were brave, but fate was cruel, And death soon came to claim its duel.

(Chorus) Oh, sing of the brave who fell in the fight, Three wizards who perished ‘neath crimson light. Yet one remained, through centuries bound, Alone he stood, and held his ground.

(Verse 2) First came flame, a roaring tide, It scorched the earth, the skies it cried. The youngest fell, with spells undone, His fire snuffed ‘fore the rising sun.

Then came shadow, claws and screams, The beast consumed the wizard’s dreams. Her runes grew dim, her voice fell still, The swine devoured her iron will.

(Verse 3) Last came stone, unyielding might, He fought through days, he fought through night. But tusks of rage and venom’s kiss, Turned strength to ash, to death’s abyss.

(Chorus) Oh, sing of the brave who fell in the fight, Three wizards who perished ‘neath crimson light. Yet one remained, through centuries bound, Alone he stood, and held his ground.

(Bridge) The last of the four, with silver hair, Faced endless wrath, despair laid bare. Through ages cursed, no sleep, no peace, To tame the swine, its rage to cease.

With every spell, his life would drain, Yet still he stood, defying pain. The beast would charge, the mage would roar, An endless duel on the shadowed moor.

(Verse 4) Legends speak of his solemn fight, The lone mage burning in moonlit light. The world moved on, yet there he stayed, Bound to the beast, the price he paid.

No grave shall hold his tale of yore, No stone shall mark his fight so pure. But in the winds, his song remains, A lone man’s stand, through blood and chains.

(Final Chorus) Oh, sing of the one who never fell, Through centuries bound in a timeless spell. A beast enraged, a hero crowned, Alone he stood, and held his ground.

(Outro) So raise your cups, let voices ring, Of wizards bold and the hope they bring. For though three fell, their light still burns, In the lone mage’s watch, till the earth returns.

Dedicated to Me2Slayer, Caygeon and mikeypython and one epic battle we had in the depths of dungeon.
