Long ago...

...there was a curious dark haired boy living in a small village on the shores of Rabbit Lake.

This boy's name was Rodolfo, but his family and friends called him "Rodo". Rodo loved to be in nature, surrounded by plants and creatures of all variety. He often found his ability to communicate with the other villagers...lacking. Rather, Rodo spoke the language of nature and truth of energy and connection without words.

Over his adolescent years Rodo became known for his ability to grow practically any plant and handle any animal. If any villager had issues with their animals, they came to Rodolfo. As more people came to Rodo, his name started to spread throughout the vast forest surrounding Rabbit Lake and beyond.

On his 13th birthday the village threw a grand celebration for him with music, dance and laughter to celebrate the prosperity brought to their village. The party grew into the night, torches illuminating the buildings and the lush forest canopy above all with dancing shadows. Rodo couldn't but help drink the White Rabbit Wine offered by each attendee to the party, and to say he was drunk would have been the understatement of his life. With a full bladder he tromped into the woods to relieve his screaming bladder of pressure, and just as he finished, he felt an extreme pain down his right leg. Yelping in pain he jumped, thinking maybe he had indeed had far too much White Rabbit Wine.

Then another pain shot down his left leg, this time the pain not subsiding but rather shooting back up into both arms and his head. Keeling over in pain Rodo screamed and rolled, blacking out....

Rodolfo of the Lake awoke in the heart of the dense forest that had always been his sanctuary. He gazed at his transformed body, realizing that he had become a Shapeshifter, a being of legend and myth. He could take on the forms of the creatures he had so lovingly nurtured throughout his life.

Over time, Rodolfo learned to harness his newfound abilities. He shifted into various animals, each time gaining a deeper understanding of the creatures he had cared for. He became one with the forest, a guardian of the natural world.

As news of Rodolfo's transformation spread, the villagers of Rabbit Lake were both awestruck and fearful. They had seen him as the protector of their livestock, their link to the natural world, and now he had become something beyond their comprehension. Some believed he was a blessing from the ancient spirits, while others feared him as an enigmatic force.

Rodolfo continued to roam the forest, assuming the forms of different animals to commune with nature and learn its secrets. He discovered ancient groves, whispered to the trees, and felt the pulse of the land itself. Yet, he yearned for a greater purpose, a way to use his newfound powers to protect the land he loved.

One fateful evening, as he took the form of a majestic stag and wandered through the forest, he came across an old, hooded figure cloaked in brown robes. The stranger introduced himself as Thallan, of the Brown Wizard Delta. Thallan had been observing Rodolfo's transformation and recognized the potential within him.

The wizard explained that the natural world was in peril. Dark forces threatened the balance of nature, and a champion was needed to protect it. Thallan saw this champion in Rodolfo, the Shapeshifter who had become one with the forest. He offered to train Rodolfo in the arcane arts, blending his affinity for nature with the power of magic to become a formidable Battle Mage.

Rodolfo accepted Thallan's offer and embarked on a journey of training and self-discovery. He learned to control his shape-shifting abilities, mastering the art of transformation. He delved into the secrets of the elements, the flora, and the fauna, and how to harness their energies to protect the land.

The village that once celebrated his extraordinary connection to the natural world now celebrated him as a hero and earning him the title of "Rodolfo of the Lake" for that of Rabbit Lake. Rodolfo's journey had come full circle, from a curious boy on the shores of Rabbit Lake to a legendary Battle Mage, wielding the magic of the Brown Wizard's Delta.
