Bard Zagan of the Wild (#5832)

Bard Zagan of the Wild

He walks the paths where light barely dares to enter, a specter wrapped in shadows and whispers. He leaves no footprints, but his name lingers in the night like an echo: Bard Zagan of the Wild.

In his hand, he carries the only relic that truly defines him:

  • The Bell of Lolthar, an artifact born from the unfathomable darkness of The Quantum Shadow. It is said that this place is neither a realm nor a dimension but a fracture between realities, where the laws of time and existence dissolve. It was there that the bell was forged—not by mortal hands, but by an echo of something older than the gods.

The bell does not merely ring—it alters the very fabric of reality. Its toll can erase memories, dissolve souls, distort wills, and unleash forces no mortal should ever comprehend. Each time it sounds, the boundary between the possible and the impossible grows thinner.

But Bard Zagan does not walk alone. At his side, moving like a living shadow, is Elzith, the Crimson Serpent. She is not a weapon nor a curse but his most loyal companion. Since their paths crossed, she has been his guardian and confidant, the only being who understands the weight of the bell and what it means to bear it.

Elzith is more than a serpent. Her crimson scales shimmer with an unnatural glow, and her eyes reflect secrets lost to time. She does not obey commands, nor is she a mere servant; she walks beside Bard Zagan as an equal, slipping through the darkness and shielding him from those who seek to claim the bell for their own ends.

The Bearer of the Mercury Rune

Bard Zagan does not fully belong to this world. Marked with the Rune of Mercury, he moves between realms, defying time and space. He may appear in the dreams of the afflicted, in the markets of the damned, or among the ruins of forgotten empires. His arrival is never announced, but his departure always leaves behind the echo of the bell and a lingering chill in the air.

The Brother in the Citadel

Far from the Shadowed Forest, in the towering Citadel Calista, another man bears the same name: Bard Zagan of the Citadel. A musician, a weaver of melodies and memories, one who plays notes to preserve what his wandering brother seeks to erase.

Few know they both exist. Even fewer understand the bond that ties them together.

The Final Toll of Lolthar

Prophecies speak of a moment when The Bell of Lolthar will toll three times in a single night. When that happens, the boundary between the living and the dead will shatter, and the veil separating realities will be torn apart. Some believe it will be the end of all things. Others, the beginning of something new.

Until then, Bard Zagan of the Wild walks his path with Elzith at his side, leaving behind shadows that never fade and the echo of a toll no one can forget.
