Artificer Cairon of the Desert (#3480)

Owner: 0xcaf6…AB7b

The Curious Case of Gibbles the Snail

Gibbles started as an ordinary garden snail, slow, slimy, and utterly unremarkable - except for his curious streak. He had a knack for exploring places he didn’t belong, which often ended with Cairon shooing him away. One fateful afternoon, while Cairon brewed a bubbling purple potion, Gibbles decided to investigate. With a wiggle of his antennae, he slithered straight into the steaming brew. POOF!

When the smoke cleared, Gibbles was no longer ordinary. His orange body was the size of a kitten, and he zipped across the workshop as fast as one too.

“You’re a disaster!” Cairon groaned, mopping up the mess.

But Gibbles had a charm Cairon couldn’t ignore and curious pair soon became inseparable, leaving trails of slime and chaos wherever they went.

The Snail and the Sand-Skimmer

The clockwork sand-skimmer refused to cooperate. The machine, all polished brass, was supposed to glide over dunes like magic. Instead, its gears rattled like a pot full of spoons.

“Useless heap of cogs!” Cairon grumbled, kicking the machine

At that moment, Gibbles zipped onto the scene, his white shell shimmering with mischief.

“Oh, no, you don’t!” Cairon warned, pointing a spanner at the snail.

But Gibbles, as usual, ignored him. With a gleeful wiggle, he slithered straight into the exposed engine, his glistening slime trailing across every cog and spring in sight.

“Gibbles, stop that!” Cairon bellowed.

And then it happened. The engine, so reluctant before, gave a soft hum. The gears, now lubricated with Gibbles’ magical slime, spun effortlessly.

Cairon stared, dumbfounded.

“Well, I’ll be… You slimy little genius!” he said, a grin creeping across his face.

Gibbles wiggled his antennae smugly and perched atop the skimmer like a proud captain.
