One such wizard is Battle Mage Dutorn of the Hills, who is equipped with a ruby staff.

This tool enhances his capabilities to a new level allowing Dutorn to cast more powerful spells.

With the rune of the sun power, Dutorn is able to draw down the power generated by the sun to enhance his spells. Not only can he use the sun’s power while it is high in the sky, Dutorn is able to store this power within objects allowing him to use the power of the sun during the night.

Being a woodland shapeshifter, Dutorn is a guardian of the woodlands able to transform into the creatures of the forest.

This change is not only in appearance but also at an elemental level allowing Dutorn to harness the creature’s strength, senses and instincts.

Combining all three elements Dutorn is a feared battle mage as he cannot only shift into a powerful creature, but by drawing down the power of the sun through his ruby staff Dutorn super charges his change and enhances the features of the creatures he transforms into. Allowing him to take down many enemy soldiers in one swipe.

The ongoing battle against plague rats, woodland shapeshifters play a critical role in defeating them.

The people of the Runiverse rightfully fear plague rats as they are infected with a deadly disease, posing a significant risks to those that have been sent to destroy them.

With Dutorn’s unique abilities, by harnessing the power of a plague rat he was able to neutralise the plague rats that had threatened his homeland.

As a guardian of the woodlands Dutorn tried to neutralise the plague rats without killing them as best as possible as all creatures should trying and live in harmony with each other to maintain the balance of the Runiverse.

During his conquest Dutorn managed to neutralize Pip a plague rat that was leading the campaign turning Pip into his familiar.

Pip stopped the campaign, beginning a time of peace and repair. Although Pip no longer poses a contagion risk to Dutorn, Pip still poses a risk to others, however he only uses his powers now when Dutorn commands him to.
