Artificer Corvin of the Event Horizon (#2724)

Owner: 0xc206…d45f

Corvin’s Greed - memoirs of the other co-owner of the Two Crows Bazaar, Cash

He never revealed the methods he used to extract that information from the Chronomancers. They're not merely chrono-enforcers but revered as the Last Custodians of the Time Dragon's ancient secrets.

I should have known what he was up to when he "accidentally" locked me away in one of the deeper rooms of the bazaar. After what seemed like an eternity, we had finally arrived at the Temporal Swamps nestled within the Quantum Downs. I'd just wanted to stretch our wings and check on our collection for crying out loud. Looking back, my subconscious knew what he was trying to do.

He believed fervently in his ability to create another "us", convinced that the spawn would echo his essence more faithfully than I ever could. But my dear Corvin, it just doesn't work that way. With each additional Soul-Splinter, the mind becomes more fragile. And just like what happened to me, the new entity eventually ascends into a unique individual.

I was supposed to be there to reign him in… but I was trapped and the Bazaar wasn't responding….

Imagine my shock and astonishment when the Soul-Splinter was actually able to hold the Dragon’s gaze long enough for Corvin to extract one of the many "eyes"!

I flung myself against the glowing glass window!
Screaming “CAWWWW! CORVIN!!! STOOOOOOP”

<crack> a chipped claw

<snap> a broken wing

I couldn’t stop him, he wanted immortality so badly... but not that.
Corvin...not that.

unable to contain my tears

The true value of the Bazaar...

comes from the gift of the Chronomancers: slowing time by aligning the Qi of the building with the edge of the Event Horizon, insuring that the shop is always running and never wearing out. That and the limitless chambers to store inter-dimensional treasures.

The Bazaar has a personality of its own, stored as some decentralized code running on one of the few remaining nodes of the inter-dimensional Bluck-Chaiin. Occasionally the Bazaar would squawk about ‘pings’ and “updates”. I guess there are other nodes out there and as we travel, we periodically synchronize with them.

She communicates with folks within the shop via neuro-conductive telepathy transmitters. A sometimes annoying voice in your head. She then bends space time to allow Corvin & Co. to quickly navigate the endless rooms and halls to find what they’re looking for.

Oh yeah, you probably don’t care about all that.
There was that whole “thing” with the Guild. But before you ask,

no the Murder Guild is not still around. At least not the Guild I knew.
