The first to awaken was the Basilisk of the Abyss, a colossal serpent whose gaze turned all to stone and whose venom dissolved the strongest armor. Villages were abandoned, forests petrified, and the people cried out for a savior. Armed with the Rune of Cinnabar, Ratko journeyed to face this terror, accompanied by his loyal golden toad, Aureus.
As the Basilisk emerged, its eyes glowing with deadly power, Ratko stood firm. When the serpent unleashed its petrifying gaze, Aureus leaped into action, reflecting the deadly gaze back with his shimmering skin, forcing the Basilisk to recoil. Seizing the moment, Ratko channeled the Rune’s energy to transform the Basilisk from a destroyer into a Guardian Serpent, protector of the forests.
The battle took its toll, but Aureus saved Ratko from the crumbling ground, stabilizing the earth beneath them. United by their bond, they stood victorious.
Ratko knew more challenges awaited. Word soon came of Korvax, the Storm Tyrant, rising from the Eternal Sea. With Aureus by his side, Ratko transformed the leviathan into a protector of the seas, continuing his quest to bring peace and balance to the Forgotten Runiverse. Through his wisdom, courage, and the power of the Rune of Cinnabar, Ratko’s legend grew, becoming a symbol of hope and the belief that even the darkest forces could be turned to light.
