In the dark days when the Toadstools fell under attack by Bayard, the Ghost Eater, young Goomer narrowly escaped the carnage that claimed his clan. Fleeing through the swampy forest, he was struck by a deadly curse, a dark magic that gnawed at his life force. For days, Goomer wandered aimlessly, his strength fading, until he collapsed at the edge of a Elysian gates, barely clinging to life.

It was there that Cleric Basil of the Garden found him. With his mastery of the Light, Basil lifted the curse that threatened to consume Goomer, saving him from certain death. Seeing potential in the young fungus-like being, Basil introduced him to Circe of the Ether, a wise druid and his close friend. Circe, a master of alchemy, took Goomer under her wing, teaching him the ancient art of transforming matter and harnessing the natural world’s energies.

Under Circe’s guidance, Goomer’s skills flourished. He delved deep into the mysteries of alchemy, eventually mastering the craft. His greatest creation was an emerald slime, a living companion crafted from his knowledge of both alchemy and his own fungal nature. The slime, vibrant and loyal, became Goomer’s constant companion, a symbol of the life he had rebuilt from the ruins of his past.

Yet, despite his newfound purpose, Goomer was haunted by the memory of his sister, Alice. He had always believed she had perished in the attack on their clan, a shadow of guilt following him wherever he went. Unbeknownst to him, fate was already weaving their paths together once more.

As Goomer continued his alchemical studies, he had no idea that his lost sister was still alive, a powerful necromancer wandering the same world, haunted by her own shadows. The day would come when their paths would cross again, and the siblings, separated by tragedy and time, would face their intertwined destinies.
