His Psychic Rabbit familiar aids him in communing with celestial beings, while his prop, Prometheus’s Torch, symbolizes his commitment to bringing light to the darkest corners of the Runiverse. Basil is a scholar at heart, dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of the cosmos through pure, untainted magic.

Life Within the White House:

The White Wizard community values order, purity, and the pursuit of enlightenment, but Basil has always felt that there is something missing in their approach. The rigidity of white magic, with its strict moral codes and clear delineations between right and wrong, leaves little room for the mysteries that Basil senses lie beyond the stars.

The Seed of Rebellion:

The Necromancer Orange Menace first approaches Basil in a dream, appearing as a dark figure at the edge of his consciousness. The figure speaks of hidden truths that can only be discovered by embracing the full spectrum of magic, including those parts that the White Wizards shun. The dream leaves Basil unsettled but curious, and he begins to explore the limits of his own magic, using Prometheus’s Torch to search for answers in the void.

Turning Point:

During a ritual to communicate with celestial beings, Basil receives a vision of the universe unraveling, with chaos seeping in from the edges. The vision challenges everything he believes about the nature of light and darkness. Compelled to seek a deeper understanding, Basil starts to question the very foundation of his magical practices and embarks on a journey that will lead him to the Eighth Path.
