The lake is a vast body of water that mirrors the celestial bodies overhead, transforming into an ethereal mirror each night, reflecting the cosmos in its serene surface. The Lake of Lanterns, however, owes its name not to these natural luminaries but to the countless lanterns that float on its surface. Each of these lanterns holds a powerful magical energy, their soft, multicolored glow casting a kaleidoscope of colors onto the surrounding landscape. They bob gently on the water's surface, creating a spectacle of light that dances and flickers against the darkness of the night. Invisible to the untrained eye, tiny figures flit amongst the lanterns. These are the Sprites of the Lake of Lanterns, small, fairy-like creatures drawn to the enchanting beauty and inherent magic of the lake.
