Pop up Mushrooms
Pop up Mushrooms are dark green with bright green spots that glow. They live near trees on the east side of the Emerald Forest where there is more moisture. They only appear in the month of May when there is a new moon. They are extremely difficult to see from a distance because they blend in so well with the flora of the forest. These mushrooms can sense the heat of living animals and humans and will pop back into the ground if they sense them. When harvested, dried and ground into powder they have the ability to bond different chemicals together in order to create powerful magic. They are hunted and sought by Alchemists.
Warrior Kathleen and the Jadeites work hard to protect them from being taken out of the Emerald Forest but somehow they still appear in potions.

The Oath of the Protectors of the Woodlands.
In order to be a protector of the woodlands a person must be kind, helpful, and brave. If you can follow these rules written by warrior Kathleen please repeat after me.
I vow to do my best to:
Guard All Forests from harm: I will protect all living things from harm with my courage and determination.
Respect All Life: I will honor every creature and plant, no matter how small or different they look. I know all living things are important and have a role in the balance of nature.
Teach Others about Wildlife: I will share my knowledge about all living things. I will teach people to look at wildlife from a distance and leave wild plants and animals alone. I will never take living creatures from their homes.
Stand Together: Warrior Kathleen teaches us that we are better when we work together. In this spirit I pledge to stand beside other protectors to keep the forest plants and animals safe.
This is my pledge and my oath from my brave heart. I will wear my woodland bracelet so that others may know that I am a protector of the woodlands.
