Kathleen Protector of the Woodlands (#15515)

Owner: 0x7BB5…3E05

The Day the Emerald Forest became quiet. Darli's name will not be forgotten. She is the woodland fairy killed by Nayeria. The blue river rats were entertaining the young fairy so she sat down to watch by the banks of the Chunky River. Underneath the canopy of a shredding hickory tree, she closed her eyes. Nayeria was waiting and slithered in fast with her poisonous bite. Darli never woke up. A short time later she was found by Oxwen. With tears streaming down his face he picked up her body which was quickly turning black and flew her to The Ever. The fairy healers came as fast as they could. Her heart rate began to slow until the last shallow breath released from her lips. The wind stopped blowing and the air felt heavy. The only sound was a long haunting cry from a purple loon. The fairy community dropped what they were doing and flew to the main gathering area. Animals and birds gathering on the perimeter and watched in silence. The Ever sent a whisper butterfly to get Shaman Lumos. That evening a firefly glowing would float down the middle of the Chunky River on a leaf. The fairy community and other living things were on the banks of the river. This ceremony is called LORE or Lights of remembrance everlasting. The fairies tossed flower petals into the water to float behind the leaf. The forest watched until the light disappeared on the horizon. A quiet peace loving community is about to show the world how tough and ruthless they can be to defend their way of life and avenge the death of a loved one. They are coming for you Black Death.

THE SONG OF THE BLACK DEATH

“White magic, black magic intertwined in chaos When wizards join the two, they will betray us

Fortytwo cast their spells using their breath This combined force summons the Black Death

Twenty-one locks opened and fell to the ground Nayeria slithered through the gate to hunt us down

Her bite is poisonous, will turn your skin black Only the brave can defeat her and send her back

White magic, black magic intertwined in chaos When wizards join the two, they will betray us.”

The woodland fairies of the Emerald Forest sing various songs of lore passed down for generations. Children like to laugh and play games while chatting about the song of the Black Death. They do not give any thought to the meaning of the words. A common belief is that this song about a young beast which is also known as Nayeria is only a made up story. Until on a sunny April afternoon a young fairy is found lying near the Chunky River. She has bite marks and her skin is slowly turning black.
