The Ballad of Lady Lumina and Sir Ribbit

In armor white as morning's light,
Lady Lumina, bold and bright,
Set forth one day on noble quest,
To seek an amulet, no rest.

Through marshes deep and fogs so thick,
Where every step was slow, not quick,
She wandered far from path of stone,
To places where the lost bemoan.

The Gloompit Marsh, so dank and drear,
Did challenge even knights to fear,
Yet Lumina, with sword in hand,
Did journey on through muck and sand.

But lo! A sight both strange and grand,
A ribboned tree in murky land,
Led her to a clearing bright,
Where toads and frogs in sheer delight,

Held court with tea and tiny cakes,
With dragonflies and garden snakes.
A toad adorned with crown of gold,
Did sit upon a log, so bold.

"Good lady knight," Sir Ribbit cried,
"Why wander here where few abide?
Come share with us this humble feast,
And be our honored guest, at least!"

But Lumina, with quest in mind,
Did gently speak, though not unkind,
"Sir Ribbit, thanks for scones and tea,
But I must find what calls to me.

An Amulet of Everlight,
Lost somewhere in this endless night.
I've no time for a soiree grand,
Though your invite is truly grand."

The toad did blink, then gave a grin,
"A quest, you say? Well, do come in!
For what you seek, it lies not far,
Beneath the brightest northern star."

"Take this," he said, a ribbon blue,
"Tie it to your sword so true.
It guides you where the light does glow,
Through bog and mist and winds that blow."

Lady Lumina bowed her head,
And took the gift of ribbon red.
She tied it firm to Blancheur's hilt,
And felt a surge of hope, well-built.

With thanks, she left the merry band,
And journeyed on across the land.
The ribbon led her through the night,
To where the Amulet shone bright.

And so, dear friends, this tale does end,
With Lumina, the toad’s new friend,
Who braved the marsh with humor light,
And found her prize, the Everlight.

For in the darkest, murkiest place,
A touch of joy can light the face,
Of any knight, both brave and true,
When shared with friends both old and new.
